Target Audience

Pest Management Technicians

Purpose

To encourage Technicians to maximise the value of their visit, by looking for opportunities to upsell services on the day or opportunities to quote of other work.

Inclusions / Exclusions

Includes:

  • All Technicians delivering services in domestic and commercial services.

Excludes:

  • Sales Persons (and National Sales BDMs) engaged on a wage + commission basis

The Prizes

Each Month:

  • Top 10 performers across the APC Group will receive $25 store voucher

Additional Promotion

This classification is eligible for the Grand Prize for 2015.

Performance will be measured from January-November 2015.

Assessment Criteria

This promotion measures the number and value of upsells by an individual technician across a calendar month.

A ranking score is calculated based on a weighted average formula with a heavy weighting applied to the number of upsells in combination with the value of upsells.

In case of a tied result, the average value of the upsells will be used as a secondary criterion.

Submissions must be able to be validated against ABS.

Definition of Upsell:

  • The service must have a quoted job value before the technician arrives on site (jobs with 0 job value “quote before you start” are excluded)

  • The upsell includes any additional services that are sold on the day, but excludes services that require written quotes for additional work that may or may not be accepted in the future (e.g. quote for Timber Pest Treatments – Refer instead to the Quote Conversion Promotion)

  • All timber pest work (with the exception of a Timber Pest Inspections (V)) is excluded from this category. (Refer instead to the Quote Conversion Promotion)

  • NOTE: As an example: In the case where a general pest treatment is upsold to a Timber Pest Inspection then, on the same day, a quote is provided and the quote accepted for termite work, then:

    • The upsell to the TPI is included in this Technician Upsell Promotion.

    • The acceptance of the quote and it’s job value is to be included in the Quote Conversion Promotion.

Grand Prize Scoring:

  • The upsell ranking scores will accumulate over the promotion period.

  • The Technician with the highest accumulated score at the end of the promotion will win the Grand Prize.

  • In the case of a draw, the average value of upsells will be used as a secondary criterion.

Terms and Conditions

  • You must be a current member of the APC Group at the time that the prize is awarded.

  • The prize is not redeemable for cash.

  • In cases where it is not practical to redeem the monthly prize of store vouchers or movie tickets (e.g. no stores or cinemas exist within a reasonable distance), an alternative reward to the equivalent value can be negotiated with APC.

  • Only prize winner names will be published each month.

Submissions for new incentive apply from January 2015

Submissions must be made by the Branch after verification using the prescribed spreadsheet.
